Common phrases that leave your spectators confused

#1. Going for the Opposite

Magician: “Are you left-handed or right-handed?”

Spectator: “Left-handed”

Magician: “Great, hold out your right hand!”

Spectator: “Then why ask me?”

#2. Why did you choose that?

Magician: “Name any card for me.”

Spectator: “7 of diamonds.”

Magician: “Is there a reason you chose that card? *Fumbles through deck*

Spectator: “Because you asked me to name one.”

#3. The Clean Hand

Magician: “Hold your hand out for me.”

Spectator: *Holds out hand*

Magician: “No! The clean one.”

Spectator: …

#4. Fast Hands

Spectator: “Wow, your hands are really fast.”

Magician: “You know what they say about fast hands” *wink*

#5. You Pick

Magician: “I can do this the easy way or the hard way. Which way would you like me to do it?”

Spectator: Ummmm…..

#6. Would You Be Impressed?

Magician: “Would you be impressed if I could make that coin disappear?”

Spectator: “That would be incredible!”

Magician: “I can’t do that, but what if it turned into a Chinese coin instead?”

Spectator: “K”

#7. Watch Close

Magician: “Watch. Watch. Watch.:”

Spectator: “Okay…”

Magician: “Watch…. Watch close. Look!”

Spectator:

Magician continues: “Watch… All it takes is a snap… Watch! Are you watching? Look at this!”

#8. The Long Story

Magician: “When I was a small boy, my grandfather used to take me to the beach, and on that beach were small stones that I would play with.
